Knighton Visits Nottingham Trent University

2 November 2026 · Visit: 10 October 2026 · Nottingham, UK

On 10 October 2026, Gokhan Koyunlu from Knighton Educational Consultancy Ltd visited Nottingham Trent University (NTU), with a particular focus on the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment and Nottingham Business School.

The visit provided a closer look at the university’s learning spaces, practical facilities and subject areas. From architectural models and materials to a marketing course presentation, the photographs capture different ways students can connect ideas with practical work.

Architecture, design and the built environment

The architecture studios were a key part of the visit. Displays of student work and physical models offered a useful view of the design process: developing an idea, testing its form and communicating it through drawings and three-dimensional work.

One photograph shows a detailed wooden structural model, while another captures the studio environment and work on display. Together, they illustrate why seeing a subject’s learning spaces in person can be valuable when considering a creative or technical degree.

NTU’s School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment brings together subjects including architecture, product design, civil engineering, construction and property. The school combines academic study with practical experience, with studios and workshops supporting creative and technical development.

Workshops, making and materials

The visit also included workshop spaces and material displays. The selected photographs show practical facilities alongside a range of sample materials, textures and finishes, including recycled and alternative materials.

For students interested in design and the built environment, these details help bring the subject to life. Materials, model-making and prototyping allow ideas to be explored physically, alongside the drawing, research and digital skills involved in developing a design.
