    Knighton Visits Nottingham Trent University

    2 November 2026 · Visit: 10 October 2026 · Nottingham, UK

On 10 October 2026, Gokhan Koyunlu from Knighton Educational Consultancy Ltd visited Nottingham Trent University (NTU), with a particular focus on the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment and Nottingham Business School.

The visit provided a closer look at the university’s learning spaces, practical facilities and subject areas. From architectural models and materials to a marketing course presentation, the photographs capture different ways students can connect ideas with practical work.

Architecture, design and the built environment

The architecture studios were a key part of the visit. Displays of student work and physical models offered a useful view of the design process: developing an idea, testing its form and communicating it through drawings and three-dimensional work.

One photograph shows a detailed wooden structural model, while another captures the studio environment and work on display. Together, they illustrate why seeing a subject’s learning spaces in person can be valuable when considering a creative or technical degree.

NTU’s School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment brings together subjects including architecture, product design, civil engineering, construction and property. The school combines academic study with practical experience, with studios and workshops supporting creative and technical development.

    Workshops, making and materials

The visit also included workshop spaces and material displays. The selected photographs show practical facilities alongside a range of sample materials, textures and finishes, including recycled and alternative materials.

For students interested in design and the built environment, these details help bring the subject to life. Materials, model-making and prototyping allow ideas to be explored physically, alongside the drawing, research and digital skills involved in developing a design.

Gokhan also visited Nottingham Business School, with photographs taken at the school and outside NTU’s Newton building. A BA (Hons) Marketing presentation formed another part of the visit, adding a business perspective to the day’s focus on creative and practical learning.

Nottingham Business School offers undergraduate and postgraduate study across business disciplines, including marketing, management, accounting, finance and economics. Its approach emphasises experiential learning and connecting academic knowledge with business practice.

CAMPUS VISIT · SHEFFIELD HALLAM UNIVERSITY

On 17 October 2026, Gokhan Koyunlu from Knighton visited Sheffield Hallam University to take a closer look at its campuses, learning environments and student facilities.

For students considering their next step, exploring study options in the UK means looking beyond a university’s prospectus. The visit photographs capture a mix of busy campus spaces, specialist teaching equipment and accommodation — practical details that help bring a study destination to life.

Knighton is currently recruiting students to Sheffield Hallam University. We are welcoming enquiries for January 2027 and subsequent available intakes, helping applicants explore a course and start date that fit their qualifications and plans.

Campus life at Sheffield Hallam University

The visit took in City Campus and Collegiate Campus. In the City Campus photographs, the tall, light-filled atrium offers a sense of the university’s scale, with walkways and open spaces connecting different levels. At Collegiate, the Heart of the Campus building provides another view of the university’s shared learning environment.

These are useful details for prospective students to consider alongside the academic course: where they will spend time between classes, how they will move around campus and which study spaces suit the way they learn. Together, these campus settings give applicants a broader picture of the university environment.

    Seeing practical learning environments first-hand

Some of the most distinctive images from the visit show specialist teaching spaces. A flight simulator, laboratory benches and a teaching kitchen offer three different perspectives on learning through equipment, observation and practice.

For applicants, the next step is to connect these facilities to the specific course they want to study. Knighton can help students compare course content and ask about practical sessions, projects and any placement options included in their chosen programme.

Thinking about the experience beyond the classroom

The visit also included a look at student accommodation. The selected bedroom photograph shows a bed, desk and storage — the everyday features that can make a difference when planning a move to a new city.

Choosing accommodation is about more than appearance. Students should compare room types, contract lengths, bills, travel to their teaching campus and the support available. The room pictured is an example viewed during the visit; availability and room specifications need to be checked for the intended intake.
